Online registration opens on July 15th for the 2024-25 School Year. Families are encouraged to register online BEFORE August 1st. All data must be carefully reviewed for accuracy. In-Person Registration Day is August 1st, 7 AM- 1 PM. Health exams, fees, financial forms, cash/check payments, and other documents can be turned in at the in-person registration.

Morton 709 received a "Pre-School For All" grant to expand preschool services. Screenings are required. The next Screening dates are 8/1 and 10/11. If you are interested in enrolling your child for the Fall of 2024, please call and schedule a developmental screening at 309-284-8033.

Morton Community Unit School District 709 will be destroying special education records for students with a 1997 birthdate and who were evaluated for or received services during their school career. If the student or parents want these records they should call 309-263-0522 to arrange to pick them up. Any records not collected by June 15, 2025 will be destroyed.

A grant is bringing Breakfast to Jefferson Elementary in the Fall of 2024. Morton 709 successfully applied for a grand grom the Illinois State Board of Education to start a School Breakfast Program. Read more by clicking the link.
