Community Computer Classes

District 709 will again offer a series of computer classes that are open to the community. All classes will be taught by Rick Everetts from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in room 40 at Morton High School. The seventh class in the series will meet Monday, April 28. Registration forms and the $5 registration fee may be returned to the Morton Public Library.

Accolades
During the school year, the district Accolades program recognizes and thanks individuals who make our district outstanding. Each month a different group is identified for recognition. Throughout April, please submit Accolades  recognizing the volunteers and parents of District 709. Comments will appear the following month. Read March comments recognizing students.

We are honoring and showing our appreciation for our teachers!  You can do something special for your teachers by participating in our celebration with these suggested small tokens of appreciation

 

Monday, May 5th


Our teachers
color our world with their knowledge and love for teaching.

Find out your teacher’s favorite color and wear it to school on Monday.

 

Wednesday, May 7th

Our teachers have a “(s)knack” for making learning fun.

Find out your teachers’ favorite snack and bring in a cooking or a small treat that shows you care.

 

Friday, May 9th


We are so thankful for our wonderful teachers.

Take time to create a handmade card or picture that shows how much you appreciate your teacher(s).

The Illinois Learning & Technology Purchasing Program (ILTPP) has established a Microsoft purchasing program for all Illinois K-12 teachers, staff and students.  These are licenses that students, faculty and staff buy on their own and will personally own forever. In the past, this group would have to pay $499 for Office Professional in local stores. Through this purchasing program, the same product costs less than $90Parents and staff can literally save hundreds of dollars and obtain life long learning tools.
