LINCOLN HAS A NEW PRINCIPAL

The Board of Education approved Julie Albers as the principal of Lincoln Elementary for the 2013-14 school year at the May 7 meeting. Ms. Albers is currently the principal at Midland Elementary School in Lacon. She is also a graduate of Morton High School and looks forward to returning to Morton to work in the community where she was raised. Ms. Albers replaces Sheila Taylor. Mrs. Taylor has accepted a position as principal of an elementary school in Norwalk, Iowa.

 

 


 

BOOK FAIR - BUY ONE GET ONE FREE SALE - COMING THIS THURSDAY & FRIDAY!! 

What:  Just a reminder that our annual Scholastic buy one, get one free book fair is coming soon. 

When:  Thursday, May 9th from 8 am to 3:30 pm  &  Friday, May 10th from 8 am to 3:30 pm (in conjunction with our all school picnic).

 Where:  Main hall

 Other:  Our school will not receive any profits from this fair.  We are offering this discount fair as a thank you for your support during our February fair and as a way to promote summer reading among our students. You should receive take home packets for your students regarding the book fair from me.  I will place these in your mailboxes the first part of May.  If you are interested, please feel free to bring your class to the fair to preview or shop at your convenience. I will place a preview/shopping sign up sheet in the teachers lounge before the fair.  There will be "wishlist" forms available at the register table for students to fill out and bring home to their parents.

 MyLunchAccount is a new resource that allows parents to see what their students are buying for lunch at school.  To use this new resource, you have to go to the link found on each school’s webpage under the Parent tab, and select the MyLunchAccount link.  Once you select that link, you have to Sign Up for an account.

Directions for signing up for a MyLunchAccount parent account, and attaching students to your account can be found on each school’s website, under the Parent Tab on the Tech Resources page.
